Looks like things are coming along nicely for you, I can only assume that the particular look of you evolving creature is due to how the morphing is handled in the code. in later versions it'd be neet to apply this to bones and muscles whicj\h the skin is streached over rather than a solid mesh with bones based animation thrown in for good measure.
but then the animation technique isn't the point of the prog.
Oh well, at least its a smart sock puppet.

Sock puppet? LOL, but wow, that's cold! The finished version will be better, but no such resources for Final Fantasy class models yet. It actually looks pretty cool in action. And it gets the point across of what structures are being tested. It is a stretched skin btw, just a low poly count in the model right now, and no muscles, just bones.

a dynamic skin streached over a skeleton will always look like a sock puppet, its the nature of the technology, the only way to correct this with either a Muscular system (complicated but dooable) or with an extreemly complicated skeleton, which is not really dooable with this setup, unless you were to create a database of prebuilt skeletal structures, which would defeat the purpose of doing what you're doing.

I was having a giggle at you're expence, yes it does look very good.

Thanks for bring it up, and we've been referring to the program as EvoSock ever since! I went back and tried to refine things a bit, caught some errors, it was useful. Just morphing individual bones and maintaining the chains proportion has been hard enough. I do want this to look cool, as well as relate to the actual performance of the body style.
