VIWonder VIWonder is the latest machine intelligence project from Quantum Flux. VIWonder works with language-based information, and it acquires this knowledge by searching the internet on its own. When running, two VI's carry on a conversation with each other, on subject of interest to them; or they will respond to your input, and talk about whatever you ask them to. VIWonder can be run as a stand alone program, or installed as a screen saver. |

VI
Evolver
An evolving creature that lives in your computer!
VI Evolver is the latest Virtual Intelligence from Quantum Flux. This VI is an underwater creature with a big appetite; he swims around a beautiful underwater world trying to catch food. When he eats, parts of his body morph into a new shape and his skin changes color. If the new shape helps him catch food better, the changes will be selected for. So as time goes by your VI will evolve into a new and unique creature, specific to your system. Uses the latest DirectX9 technology, and runs as a screensaver or as a stand-alone program.

Intelligence Matrix The Virtual Intelligence Matrix is a machine intelligence in the form of a 3D character who lives in a beautiful world by the ocean. The Virtual Intelligence (VI) explores the world, collecting seeds, which are then planted in an area that the VI is attracted to. The VI's garden grows, changing the state of the world, which in turn, changes the VI. Fascinating to watch, the VIM is driven by a model of human brain function, and will develop different behaviors with time. The program runs as a screensaver or as a stand-alone program for Windows.

Intelligence Reader
Quantum Flux is now moving toward its long-term goal of a full language interface with the VIM. The first step is the interface, and we are using it here to add a new dimension to reading eBooks. With the VI Reader Screensaver you will be able to select a book (text or xml file) and have it read to you by the VIM. The VIM's face is fully animated, expressing an emotional reaction to the words. The VI sets a bookmark in your story, and picks up where it left off the next time it starts. NOTE: This program requires DirectX8.1, a sound card, a D3D hardware accelerated video card and Windows 98/2000/XP.
Installation: The VI Reader Screensaver comes as a self-extracting installation package. Just download and run the VIReader.exe file. The program can be completely uninstalled by use of the Add/Remove Programs in the control panel. Note: Windows98 users must have an updated version of Windows Installer installed.

Intelligence Raptor
VIRaptor will take you to a field observation platform in a photo-realistic environment in Southern California. Here you can watch the raptor seen above exploring the grasslands and searching for food. VIRaptor is designed to be a pleasure for bird watchers, and a relaxing and intriguing artistic composition for all.
Sticky - Virtual Life Form
Sticky is a new Virtual Life Form from Quantum Flux. The Virtual Intelligence Matrix is a model of human brain function, and it now has control over each bone of a blended mesh skeletal system. This character animation system has been installed in Sticky, who is a bit weirded out, but has lots of fun chattering with and chasing his friend Ed around.
VI Lottery
At the core of the VIM is the Quantum Flux Engine. The QFE is a collapsible wave function generator which works by sampling quantum phenomena on the motherboard of your computer. By combining this with principles from I Ching, we have developed a system for choosing which numbers will win you the lottery! While we can't guarantee every number is a winner, it's a fun way to explore the world of randomness and watch the QFE in action.
